As you plan your own Theatre Weekend, it’s sometimes easier to see exactly how someone else’s weekend came together.
So we thought it might be helpful to provide some sample itineraries of our own Theatre Weekends so you can help plan yours.
This first is an actual trip we put together earlier this year, so it’s been tried-and-tested first-hand!

Crack-of-dawn flight from Los Angeles to New York, arriving mid-afternoon.
Make your way from the airport to Manhattan and check-in to the hotel. Settle in and get yourself ready for a night out!
Thursday Evening Performance of “Pretty Woman: The Musical” was at 7pm, so a quick clean-up at the hotel after check-in and off to the show!
It’s time for a delicious post-theatre Italian meal at Orso before heading back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep.
Spend the morning (and maybe lunchtime) visiting the stunning Metropolitan Museum of Art on Fifth Avenue. Adjacent to Central Park, why not take a stroll through New York’s largest green space afterward?!
Attend a performance of the one-act musical “Come From Away,” a touching, uplifiting story about a small Canadian town on 9/11.
Walk to 47th Street for drinks and dinner at Glass House Tavern. After your copious meal, walk back to the hotel for a night’s rest.
Take a direct Subway ride from the hotel (A-C-E line) to West 4th Street and have a stroll around the charming Greenwich Village Neighborhood. Visit boutique shops, have a nibble, and check out the famous arch at Washington Square Park.
Afternoon matinée of the new musical “Be More Chill” Off-Broadway (show moving to Broadway in 2019!)
Evening performance of the One Act Broadway show “Straight White Men” starring Armie Hammer and Josh Charles.
Post-show dinner at classic Theatre District restaurant Joe Allen. Short stroll back to hotel, and settle in for the night.
Have a lazy Saturday morning brunch at Bond 45 in the heart of the Theatre District Have a wander around adjacent Times Square afterward.
Attend Roundabout Theatre’s matinée performance of “Bernhardt/Hamlet” at the American Airlines Theatre, starring acclaimed actress Janet McTeer.
