An intern at an esteemed but struggling news magazine, Jim (Daniel Radcliffe) is assigned the task of fact-checking what his boss calls “one of the best essays she’s ever read” about the suicide of a young man in Las Vegas. But is the essay that’s too-good-to-be-true simply that: a work of fiction? Daniel Radcliffe delivers one of his best — and most comedic — performances ever in LIFESPAN OF A FACT. His timing is impeccable, and his acting rises to a new level — even working opposite Broadway veteran (and 2-time Tony winner) Cherry Jones, perfectly cast as the magazine’s no-nonsense Editor in Chief. Bobby Cannevale is hysterical as the formidable, reclusive writer John D’Agata, whose story Radcliffe is fact-checking. His physically imposing frame next to Radcliffe’s — shall we say…diminutive frame? — adds to the comedic juxtaposition of the two characters at odds over how far a “fact” can be stretched before it is no longer a fact.
 Clocking in at a tidy 90 minutes, the show flies by and brings the comedy around to a poignant end note. LIFESPAN is a highly recommended night of smart comedy at the theatre!!
