As they did with THE LION KING and ALADDIN, the magicians at Disney have created another theatrical hit by adapting a successful animated movie for the Broadway stage. How'd they do it? By creating a show filled with "...amazing special effects, eye-popping costumes and incredible performances," as Newsday put it when the show first opened. But the stage musical is more than just a straight screen-to-stage adaptation: in fact, the creators like to tout that there's "more than twice as much music" than in the film. The main story-line still revolves around the complicated relationship between sisters, "Anna" and "Elsa"; other key plot-lines from the film are also left in-tact -- including, of course, a show-stopping rendition of the Oscar®-winning song "Let is Got" from the film. And yes, there might even be an impressive snow storm during the show!
